Carnegie is a globally respected think tank, but behind the scenes, publishing content was time-consuming and difficult to manage across its international network. With no centralized content strategy to govern its six global centers, 16 uniquely branded blogs and podcasts, and dozens of research programs and projects, the user experience of navigating through the thousands of reports, commentary, and posts that Carnegie published was fragmented and confusing. We partnered with Carnegie to rearchitect, redesign, and rebuild its website—streamlining editorial workflows, reducing publishing effort, and making content easier to organize, attribute, and surface. The new platform improves discoverability across regions, topics, and scholars without requiring users to navigate internal structures. It supports both localized content and global strategy, giving editors more control, scholars greater visibility, and users a clearer path through Carnegie’s wealth of knowledge. The result is a faster, smarter publishing experience that strengthens Carnegie’s mission and better serves its global team and diverse audiences.
Everyone is extremely excited about the website. [They] actually gasped with happiness when I showed them the functionality.— Jessica Katz, Web Manager
